We have just opened a brilliant exhibition "History and Heritage Alive" about Apperley, Deerhurst and Deerhurst Walton incorporating a wealth of local facts and tales of Fishing, Basket-making, Elvering and "Colourful Characters" from the River Severn. The exhibition meanders from calm and gentle simple stories about country life, to the violent, grizzly, seedy and still unsolved Haw Bridge Torso Murder when a crowd of 5,000 people came to watch human remains being dredged from the river.
We have also had some Ghost busters in for a preliminary look around as there have been some spooky happenings in the building! Foot steps on the top floor! and Washing smells on a Monday morning.
