Tewkesbury Museum collects documents, archaeology, artefacts and photographs relevant to the history of the area. Some of these are on display in the Museum’s galleries, but a lot are held in the store rooms either because there is no room to display them or because they are mostly of specialist research interest. We will be manning our store rooms during the open days to give the opportunity to see how items are stored and what is stored and how they are stored. We hope this will give an insight into the way the Museum works as well as the opportunity to see items not often on display.
