The Museum’s collection holds objects, images and archives relating to Tewkesbury and its immediate surrounding areas from all periods of history, pre-historic to the present day.

Every item we acquire for our collection is of relevance to the history of Tewkesbury and through our collection we tell and interpret the history of the town, its people, trades, buildings, institutions and of course, its battle.

Three of our largest collections are:

  • Battle of Tewkesbury
  • Raymond Priestley, Antarctic explorer
  • Fairground history and model collection

What we display in the Museum is only a fraction of the collection we hold. You can also make an appointment with our management team to look at anything that isn’t on display.

We welcome donations of objects to our collection, so if you are thinking of donating an item, please get in touch (see this page).
