At Tewkesbury Museum we accept donations to our collection, subject to space.
However, we can only accept items that we don’t already have and that have a strong relevance to the history of Tewkesbury and the local area. Examples are:
- Items made in Tewkesbury or its environs.
- Items with Tewkesbury written on it.
- Items that relate to significant events, local person or organisation.
If you can connect your object with Tewkesbury or the surrounding areas in any way, we would be very interested to hear from you. Please contact info@tewkesburymuseum.org or call us on 01684 292901 in the first instance.
If it is suitable for the Museum you will be asked to make an appointment to bring it in and to sign a form transferring ownership to the Museum. If it isn’t suitable we will do our best to suggest another museum that may wish to have it.
Please note, we cannot, under any circumstances, accept items without completion of the necessary paperwork. If we do not have your contact details or you do not return to collect an item, we will treat it as lost property and dispose of it as we see fit.
